Obsidian Plugin Integration
New companion plugin (v1.0.0) syncs your AI conversations directly to your Obsidian vault. One-way sync preserves folder structure, with 'Send to Obsidian' option in the branch chat menu. Includes folder mapping UI and security hardening.
Forge Doc Local File Storage
Save and load Forge Docs to your local disk using the File System Access API. Includes a dedicated Forge Doc editor window with copy button and quick save functionality for faster workflows.
Auto-Sync System
Automatic sync when changes are detected. Dirty flag tracking ensures efficient sync operations. Sync is now lifecycle-aware, triggering on tab close and browser shutdown for data safety.
Drag-to-Page Functionality
Drag Forge Docs and DocKits directly onto any website. Dynamic injection ensures universal compatibility across all supported AI platforms.
UI & Window Improvements
Modals now remember position and size. Platform logos (SVG) replace emojis in Quick Branch. Pin persistence for tag search window. Full-width folder labels with overlay icons. Single-line breadcrumbs for cleaner navigation.
Floating Menu Performance
Fixed polling that stops after successful initialization. Resolved infinite QAState extraction loop when no Q&A pairs found. Improved Perplexity navigator with stable slots.
Authentication & Sync Reliability
Fixed auth state not updating after login. Improved storage-based auth state for reliable cross-context communication. Fixed isDirty flag for project creation sync. Forge Docs, Templates, and Personas now correctly excluded from sync.
Folder System Fixes
Fixed folder persistence after operations. Sync currentFolderId between TagSearchWindow and adapter. Improved pinning behavior with blue accent color. Folder contents now persist on storage change.
Forge Doc Improvements
Fixed file size storage and display. Removed content validation checks for blank Forge Docs. Consolidated save paths. Improved file system permission handling in popup windows.
Theme & Code Quality
Replaced hardcoded white text with CSS variables for theme consistency. Fixed DocKit styling to match regular folders. Removed orphaned code that broke script execution. Fixed browser compatibility issues in sync-manager.
DocKit - Instant File Attachment
Attach files directly to your AI conversations with a single click. Store frequently used documents, code snippets, or reference materials in a dedicated DocKit folder in your Organize tab. One-click attachment to any AI platform.
Web Page Capture
Save and tag web pages directly from any website you visit. A floating capture menu lets you save page content to your conversation library with automatic tagging and organization in a special 'Captured' folder.
Freemium Model with Usage Tracking
Core features are now available to all users with a free tier. Track your monthly usage, see remaining limits, and get friendly prompts when approaching limits with a seamless upgrade path.
Quick Save Button for Forge Doc
New quick-save button streamlines saving AI responses as Forge Docs. Capture important responses without opening the full modal.
Improved Quick Branch Experience
Platform logos now display instead of text emojis when selecting AI destinations. Right-click any Q&A item to quickly branch to another AI with 7 templates.
Better Forge Doc Modal
Responsive layout that adapts to your window size, paste content directly from clipboard, folder selector moved to footer, reduced visual clutter with tighter spacing.
Theme Consistency Improvements
Floating menu, panel headers, and tooltips now properly follow your light/dark theme preference across all AI platforms. No more jarring light elements in dark mode.
Tag System Improvements
Tag suggestions now filter as you type for faster tagging. Cleaner tag editing experience overall.
Organization View Updates
Web pages display their domain in organize views, single-line breadcrumb navigation, folder contents stay visible when switching items, 'Captured' folder treated as a special system folder.
Perplexity Platform Support Enhanced
Improved Q&A Navigator slot detection, better navigation when switching between conversations, and added page tooltip support.
Forge Doc Multi-Platform Fix
Fixed 'Forge Doc' not capturing AI responses on Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Poe, Mistral, and Grok. Now correctly detects platform and extracts selections reliably.
Login & Authentication Reliability
Fixed issue where login status wouldn't update immediately after signing in. Improved reliability of authentication across different extension contexts.
Sync System Reliability
Fixed sync not properly tracking changes. Forge Docs, Templates, and Personas now correctly excluded from sync (stored locally). Resolved new projects not marked for sync. Removed unnecessary background sync polling.
Mistral and Poe Q&A Extraction
Fixed Mistral and Poe Q&A extraction. Navigator properly updates when switching conversations. Deleted items no longer appear in URL lookups.
Visual Polish & Stability
Removed redundant close buttons from modals, DocKit styling matches standard folders, cleaner Organize tab header, modal windows remember position and size, fixed script execution errors.
Branch Chat Fixed
Fixed an issue where the Send button in Branch Chat popup wasn't sending content to target AI platforms.
Branch Chat Platform Support Expanded
Branch button now works on all supported platforms: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Poe, Character.AI, and Mistral.
Persona Edit Button Added
Added a pencil button next to the Inject button in the floating menu's persona section for quick editing without leaving your current conversation.
Initial Public Release
ThinkForge Chat launched with Q&A Navigator side panel, floating navigation menu, cross-platform Branch Chat, project and folder organization, tag system with Quick Tag Lookup, and persona system. Supports ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, Poe, and Mistral.
